I'm looking for a North East Fife based Constituency Assistant to join my team!
This is a new role within my team and requires an organised, highly motivated professional individual with excellent communication skills.
The key role responsibilities are:
Planning the MP’s constituency diary and community engagement work.
Administrative tasks to plan surgeries, community meetings and events.
Liaising with national and local agencies to plan the MPs diary.
Handling telephone and customer facing enquiries with an ability to problem solve.
Dealing with correspondence from constituents and drafting responses on a range of issues, whilst liaising with Government agencies, local agencies, business and third sector organisations.
Handling constituent casework in a sensitive and confidential manner, ensuring all accurate records are kept in adherence to the principles of the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
Requirements:
An ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Be a proactive, self-starter using initiative to support the MPs busy schedule in the Constituency and Westminster.
Experience of a public facing role and desire to support constituents.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
Strong Administration skills and ability to prioritise a varied workload.
Driving Licence is desirable.
Good knowledge of the Constituency.
